Radiologist Salvatore V. Raccuia, MD, has been appointed Director of Breast and Women’s Imaging at MidHudson Regional Hospital, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network in New York.

Raccuia, a board certified in diagnostic radiology, has served as a radiologist in various facilities including Williamsburg Medical Imaging and the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, Shore Imaging in Lakewood, New Jersey, and Distinguished Diagnostic Imaging in the Bronx, New York.

“I am excited to lead the Women’s Imaging Center at MidHudson Regional Hospital,” said Raccuia in a statement.  “With an amazing staff, modern facility and state-of-the-art equipment, we are uniquely positioned to deliver the best women’s imaging services in the Hudson Valley.”

He has spent his entire career in the New York-New Jersey area. He received his medical degree from La Sapienza, the University of Rome, and fellowship training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Raccuia was a clinical assistant professor of radiology at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center from 2013 to 2015.
