Philip Costello named 2018-2019 ARRS president

Philip Costello, MD, officially became the 118th president of the American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) at this week’s ARRS 2018 Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Costello is chief of the radiology integrated center for comprehensive excellence at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston. He first joined MUSC in 2004.

In the past, Costello has also worked at the University of Toronto, New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Harvard Medical School in Boston and Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide, South Australia.

The previous ARRS president was Bernard F. King, MD.
