Radiology Partners expands, partners with Radiology Associates of Canton

Radiology Partners announced this week that it has officially partnered with Canton, Ohio-based Radiology Associates of Canton (RAC).

RAC has been in business since 1971, providing radiological services throughout the Canton area. Its staff at the time of this deal included 22 physicians. Radiology Partners, first founded in 2012, now consists of more than 200 radiologists who serve more than 140 hospitals and imaging centers across seven states.

RadHelp, a consulting and population management company formed by RAC in 2013, is a part of the deal.

“We are pleased to welcome the outstanding physicians and support team members of RAC into our practice,” Rich Whitney, Radiology Partners chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “We believe radiology has untapped potential to deliver new levels of clinical value for patients and the networks of systems and providers that serve those patients. The physicians at RAC, with their focus on quality, integrated care innovation, and clinical value, will undoubtedly make an important contribution in helping us achieve this vision.”

Syed Zaidi, MD, RAC president, said in the same statement that this partnership will allow his organization to provide better value to patients, referring physicians, and hospitals.

“Radiology Partners' commitment to quality and established clinical programs provide a platform that will allow RAC to further innovate, measure, and scale in ways we could not do on our own,” Zaidi said. “Radiology Associates of Canton is especially interested in clinical management initiatives, including the development of best practices and effective patient management.”
