Canoga Park, California-based U.S. Nuclear is acquiring Electronic Control Concepts (ECC), a company that manufactures parts for x-rays.
This is the third acquisition for U.S. Nuclear, which specializes in the development and manufacturing of radiation detection instrumentation, the company said in a statement. It also acquired Overhoff Technology and Optron Scientific.
ECC, which makes meters that measure kVp, kVe and mA, among others, is based in Saugerties, New York.
“ECC products complement and support U.S. Nuclear's popular medical product line including the unique US Nuclear nanosecond pulsed x-ray detector model TBM-IC-PULSE-X as well as Xenon, Krypton, Iodine and Positron air and stack monitors,” said Robert Goldstein, CEO at U.S. Nuclear, in a statement. "ECC products are related but not competing with USN medical products. By offering the ECC products we now meet more of our customers' needs.”
