Yale researchers develop laser imaging system

Researchers from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., have developed a new laser imaging system that reduces image “speckle” and examines the structure of biological tissue.

The team’s full findings were published in Optica, and YaleNews provided readers with a detailed summary.

“This laser has a novel combination of properties that we didn’t have before in a reliable way,” Michael A. Choma, MD, PhD, assistant professor of diagnostic radiology at Yale, said, as quoted by YaleNews.
