Colorado Radiology Centers Owner Launches Online Tool to Help Patients Save Money
An owner of radiology clinics in Colorado has launched a unique online tool that allows patients to shop for discount health care services. The site was created by Scott Woolley, who owns a chain of radiology clinics in Colorado, and it capitalizes on off-peak times when providers might need to fill vacancies in their schedule, according to a report by CBS News in Denver. Woolley’s Colorado company contracts with providers of imaging services, other specialties and family practice physicians, to be a part of the program known as CarePilot. Through the Web site, patients can make an appointment and choose from the lowest cost provider. The site also offers information about accreditation credentials of the providers, based on the report.
