Fujifilm launches redesigned SonoSite Institute educational tool for point-of-care ultrasound

Fujifilm Sonosite has announced the launch of its redesigned online educational tool, SonoSite Institute, developed to educate physicians and other providers about point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and its uses in clinical practice.

Users have access to POCUS case studies, webinars, clinical images and videos, among other applications for different specialties. They can also assess their progress as they move forward in their “learning path.”

The tool was redesigned based on “extensive user input,” so that physicians and other providers can employ their skills across various clinical specialties to advance patient care.

“Fujifilm SonoSite has long been committed to education for clinicians as well as sonographers. It is gratifying to hear from our users that the SonoSite Institute increases their confidence in performing both diagnostic and procedural POCUS applications,” Rich Fabian, president and chief operating officer of Fujifilm SonoSite, said in a prepared statement.

"Increasing the number of improved patient outcomes is our main goal, and education is the conduit that can make that happen,” Diku Mandavia, MD, senior vice president and chief medical officer of Fujifilm SonoSite, said in the same statement.
