Intelerad Medical Systems acquires Seattle-based Clario Medical

Intelerad Medical Systems announced that it has acquired Clario Medical and will integrate the Seattle-based company's zero-footprint worklist into its enterprise imaging solutions.

“The Intelerad and Clario businesses are a great natural fit and highly complementary in terms of vision, product, and people” Chris Wood, Clario’s CEO, said in a prepared statement. “This is an exciting opportunity to advance our vision on a larger scale, and to deliver the benefits this combination offers to our clients.”

“Our vision is to free up health systems and radiology practices from the limitations of legacy imaging IT systems, and provide modern, secure and highly scalable cloud-based solutions,” François Laflamme, Intelerad's chairman of the board, said in the same statement. “We are excited about the prospect of rapidly expanding our zero footprint capabilities towards a fully cloud-based radiology workstation with the Clario solutions."

Intelerad will use Clario’s headquarters in Seattle to increase its presence in the United States and "further develop its relationships with cloud technology providers,” according to Intelerad. Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed.
