More radiologists hired in Philadelphia than any other US city

In September 2018, more radiologists were hired in Philadelphia than in any other U.S. city, according to reporting from CBS Philly. Data from the jobs website Glassdoor was used to make that calculation.

“Comparing across the country, Philadelphia came in ahead of Atlanta, the US city with the second-most new positions for radiologists last month,” the report stated. “Atlanta does have a smaller population, at 456,378, compared to Philly’s 1,559,938, according to 2016 estimates from the US Census Bureau’s American Communities Survey.”

Grand Rapids, Michigan tied for No. 3 on the list with two other cities: New York City and Tampa, Florida.
