Jack W. Jennings, MD, PhD, has been named the new chief of musculoskeletal radiology at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. 

Jennings has experience as an associate professor of radiology at MIR as well as its director of musculoskeletal and spine intervention procedures. He was also a resident at MIR starting in 2003 before completing his fellowship and becoming a full-time member of the faculty. In addition, he helped put together a metastatic spine disease working group in 2014. The group later published recommendations for treating metastatic spine disease.

“Jack has shown expertise and innovation in the field of musculoskeletal interventions and has grown this service tremendously at MIR,” Richard L. Wahl, MD, Elizabeth E. Mallinckrodt Professor and head of radiology at MIR, said in a prepared statement.

Jennings also serves on several committees for the American Society of Spine Radiology and treats patients at St. Louis-based Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Siteman Cancer Center.
