ASRT announces $5K donation to support Hurricane Michael relief efforts

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) has announced it will donate $5,000 to the American Red Cross Hurricane Michael Relief Fund to help with ongoing relief efforts.

“Hurricane Michael caused an incredible amount of damage and residents in the affected areas have a long road to recovery in front of them,” Amanda Garlock, MS, RT(R)(MR), ASRT chairman of the board, said in a prepared statement. “We’re confident our contribution to the Red Cross will provide crucial support for those individuals in need of assistance.”

The ASRT also donated to relief efforts after Hurricane FlorenceTropical Storm Harvey and Hurricane Maria.

“The ASRT is an organization that is committed to enhancing the quality and safety of patient care, so when a disaster like Hurricane Michael strikes, we want to help those affected in any way possible,” Garlock said in the same statement.
