Radiology Partners announces new deal with Greensboro Radiology

Radiology Partners announced Tuesday, May 14, that it has entered a new practice partnership with North Carolina-based Greensboro Radiology.

Greensboro Radiology is the largest independent radiology practice in the state, coming in at No. 26 on the Radiology Business Journal’s own Radiology 100 ranking in 2018. The practice provides imaging services to numerous health systems throughout North Carolina, including Cone Health, Wake Forest Baptist Church, UNC Health Care and Randolph Health.

“Greensboro Radiology’s long-standing reputation for outstanding quality and service led us to get to know them several years ago,” Rich Whitney, chairman and CEO of Radiology Partners, said in a prepared statement. “We have always been impressed by their commitment to investing in clinical value and innovation.”

“Our mission is to lead radiology excellence through personalized and compassionate care,” Jim Maxwell, president of Greensboro Radiology, said in the same statement. “Aligning with Radiology Partners will help us ensure we can deliver on that mission today and well into the future through additional expertise in quality, patient safety, data analytics and artificial intelligence. We will continue to serve our community with the same radiologists empowered through our new partnership.”

After this transaction, Radiology Partners now includes a team of more than 1,250 radiologists.
